AfriLabs, a network fostering tech hubs across Africa, joined a panel of experts to discuss the potential of impact-driven startups in driving continental development. The panel, moderated by Walid Sultan Midani, brought together industry leaders including AfriLabs board member Steve Tchoumba, Faten Aissi of Flat6Labs, and Samar Louati of ESG SMARTER.

The core question under the spotlight was whether investing in startups with a social or environmental impact is a viable option. Panelists delved into the growing trend of incubators, venture capitalists, and investors turning their attention to impact-driven companies, particularly in Africa.

A consensus emerged during the discussion: impact-driven tech firms have the power to accelerate sustainable development and economic growth across the continent. The panelists argued that these startups offer a unique opportunity to generate both financial returns and positive social change.

AfriLabs is committed to supporting the growth of technology hubs and the startups they incubate across Africa.
