LUSAKA, July 31 – President Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi is in Zambia as the guest of honor for the 96th Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka.
Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema welcomed President Ndayishimiye and his delegation, highlighting the importance of Burundi as a key export partner for Zambia. “We are honored to welcome His Excellency Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic of Burundi, and his delegation to Zambia,” Hichilema stated.

Burundi, Zambia’s eighth neighbor, is connected to Zambia via maritime routes through Lake Tanganyika. The visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral relations, with both countries benefiting from high-level reciprocal visits by officials.
The Burundian president’s participation in the Agricultural and Commercial Show reflects the deepening economic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
