Johannesburg, South Africa – Renowned football coach Pitso Mosimane added a new title to his impressive resume on Wednesday when the University of Johannesburg (UJ) conferred upon him an honorary doctorate. The award recognizes Mosimane’s significant contributions to South African football and his inspirational leadership.
The ceremony, part of UJ’s winter graduation, was attended by football luminaries, including SAFA president Danny Jordaan and football icon Jomo Sono.
Mosimane, a former Bafana Bafana player, has enjoyed a stellar coaching career, leading teams like Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly to numerous titles. His passion for developing young talent led to the establishment of the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools.
In his acceptance speech, Mosimane emphasized the importance of education in his journey to success. He expressed gratitude to mentors and supporters who played a pivotal role in his career.
