Akufo-Addo Receives Credentials from Five New Envoys

Accra, Ghana – President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of Ghana received Letters of Credence from five new envoys during a ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra on July 8, 2024. The ambassadors and high commissioners representing Mexico, Mozambique, Algeria, the Philippines, and Nicaragua were officially welcomed to Ghana.

The envoys included H.E. Norma Aug Sanchez of Mexico, H.E. Fortunato Albrinho of Mozambique, H.E. Mourad Louhaidia of Algeria, H.E. Mersole Jala Mellejor of the Philippines, and H.E. Luis Manuel Andino Paiz of Nicaragua. President Akufo-Addo congratulated them and urged them to work towards strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.

During the ceremony, the President assured the envoys of Ghana’s readiness to support their diplomatic missions and create a conducive environment for their work. The envoys, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to enhance ties between their countries and Ghana.

Senior officials from the Presidency and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, were present at the event.
