Abuja, Nigeria – Barely two weeks to the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant position of the Coach of Beach Soccer National Team, otherwise known as Supersand Eagles.
Nigeria, presently without a coach will slug it out against Mauritania in a two legged affairs in the qualifying stage for the 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON in Egypt. The first leg will come up between 19-21 July while the second leg is scheduled between 26-28 July.
According to a public notice on the NFF’s website, candidates must have attended at least one beach soccer refresher course organized by the NFF, be familiar with the evolving rules and dynamics of the game, and possess at least a CAF C Coaching License.
It stated that candidates must also have been involved in beach soccer activities within the last three years to be considered. Additionally, playing experience at both local and international levels could be an added advantage.
NFF added that applications will close at midnight of Friday, 12th July 2024, with a successful candidate to be named in a matter of days.
