Lagos, Nigeria – Walk for Love Africa (WFLA), a pan-African initiative under the Anthony Ukachukwu Foundation, swung into action with its inaugural “Green Classics” golf tournament, setting a new standard for promoting environmental and social responsibility (ESG) practices on the continent.
Held at the prestigious Ikeja Golf Club, the event brought together over 100 golfers, business leaders, and sustainability advocates on a mission to raise awareness and funds for environmental projects across Africa.
The tournament itself wasn’t just about birdies and eagles. Organizers incorporated eco-friendly practices and innovative sustainable scoring systems, showcasing how the sport itself can be a platform for positive change.
Beyond the green, a networking reception buzzed with conversation on implementing sustainable business practices across various sectors.

The Green Classics is just the first tee shot in WFLA’s vision. The organization plans to expand the tournament into a pan-African event, solidifying their position as a champion for sustainability and ESG principles across the continent.
