Banjul, The Gambia – The Kingdom of Morocco and The Gambia signed a landmark agreement on Monday to boost collaboration in higher education. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), inked by both nations’ education ministers, aims to foster a vibrant exchange of knowledge and expertise.
This partnership aligns with Morocco’s “Plan for Accelerating the Transformation of the Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation Ecosystem” (PACTE ESRI-2030). The initiative prioritizes student and researcher mobility, promoting cross-pollination of ideas and best practices.
A key focus of the MoU is strengthening human capital development in both countries. This includes fostering collaboration in critical areas like digital skills and information technology, equipping graduates with the tools to succeed in the modern world.
“Human capital is central to Morocco’s strategic priorities,” declared Minister Miraoui at the signing ceremony.
