Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy is using his platform for positive change. He recently released “Higher,” an inspirational song dedicated to his hometown of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The track coincides with continued efforts through his Project PROTECT initiative, which provides vital assistance to communities facing systemic violence and poverty.

“Higher” isn’t just a song; it’s a visual journey as well. The music video, co-directed by Burna Boy and Asurf, premiered two days ago and offers a glimpse into the artist’s heartfelt return to Port Harcourt. It captures moments from his visit to his childhood home and local villages, where he’s seen distributing essential supplies alongside volunteers from Project PROTECT and The R.E.A.C.H. (Reach Every Available Communal Household). The video also highlights their collaborative efforts in education and healthcare, including significant contributions to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

Project PROTECT and The R.E.A.C.H. have been instrumental in bringing sustainable solutions to over 21 communities, positively impacting the lives of more than 11,000 people. Burna Boy’s philanthropic efforts, showcased in the video, aim to inspire a spirit of community, higher thinking, and selfless acts.

I can't wait to get this record in my ear.
