Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated Cyril Ramaphosa on his reelection as President of South Africa. Xi’s message, sent on June 15, emphasizes the strong political mutual trust and fruitful cooperation between China and South Africa, which he described as a model for solidarity among developing countries and the Global South.

During his fourth state visit to South Africa in August last year, Xi and Ramaphosa reached significant agreements on a range of issues. This visit marked a new chapter in the development of a high-level China-South Africa community with a shared future.

Xi expressed his commitment to furthering the China-South Africa relationship, aiming to elevate their comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights. He emphasized the importance of working together to contribute to global peace, stability, and prosperity.
