The UAE dispatched its 238th aid plane on Thursday, carrying 90 tonnes of relief and food aid to Al Arish city, Egypt, for transport to Gaza, as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

This latest shipment, part of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” includes 450 tents, food parcels, and dates. Since the operation began on November 5, 2023, the UAE has sent numerous aid flights to Al Arish, demonstrating its commitment to supporting Palestinian civilians.

The UAE’s Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, leads the mission. The goal is to provide urgent relief to Gaza’s population.

To date, the UAE has delivered 33,000 tonnes of food, medical supplies, and shelter equipment through 395 cargo flights, including 103 planes involved in airdrop operations under the “Birds of Goodness” initiative. Additionally, six cargo ships transported aid from the UAE and Cyprus to Al Arish and Northern Gaza, supplemented by 1,243 aid trucks carrying various supplies.
