Somalia’s Foreign Minister, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi Ahmed, met with a high-level German delegation today in Mogadishu to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation. The German delegation was led by Christoph Retzlaff, Director for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Sahel at the German Federal Foreign Office.
The discussions highlighted a shared commitment to a stronger strategic partnership between the two nations. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for deepening collaboration across various areas of mutual interest, with a focus on long-term cooperation and achieving shared development goals.
The German delegation included several dignitaries, among them Regine Hess, Head of the East and Horn of Africa Bureau at the Federal Foreign Office, German Ambassador to Somalia Sebastian Groth, and Deputy Ambassador Martin Stein.
