Qatar, Sweden Hold Talks on Bilateral Ties

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, met with her Swedish counterpart, Tobias Billstrom, in Stockholm on Friday.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Qatar and Sweden, exploring avenues for further cooperation. Regional issues, including the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, were also addressed.

The two ministers discussed ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. Additionally, Sweden expressed its appreciation for Qatar’s role in mediating the reunification of families separated by the conflict in Ukraine.

Qatar’s Ambassador to Sweden, Nadya bint Ahmad Al Sheebi, was also present at the meeting.
