The highly anticipated Création Africa programme, designed to empower and cultivate South Africa’s creative industries, culminated in the selection of its final 12 participants. The announcement came during a media breakfast attended by the French Ambassador to South Africa, Lesotho, and Malawi, David Martinon, alongside representatives from IFAS, UVU Africa, and Bpifrance.
The program received a staggering initial pool of over 700 ambitious entrepreneurs vying for a spot. Through a rigorous selection process, this number was whittled down to a shortlist of 40. These finalists underwent a comprehensive mentorship and training program, equipping them with the tools to refine their ventures. Ultimately, only 12 exceptional businesses secured a coveted spot in the program’s incubation and immersion phase.
