London, UK – Macenje Mazoka, Zambia’s High Commissioner to the UK, highlighted Zambia’s diverse tourism offerings at an event for British travel writers on Tuesday evening.
The event, organized by The PC Agency, Zambia’s tourism marketing and PR company, and funded by Zambia Tourism Agency, showcased Zambia as a land of wonder, adventure, and authentic African experiences.
High Commissioner Mazoka touted Zambia’s iconic Victoria Falls, numerous waterfalls, 20 wildlife protected areas, and 34 game management areas as just a few of the highlights awaiting tourists. Walking and driving safaris, boating, and canoeing were also mentioned as exciting activities on offer.

Zambia boasts the birthplace of the walking safari, according to Mazoka, and offers experienced guides for unforgettable adventures. She also emphasized Zambia’s abundant wildlife, including the world’s largest hippopotamus population, with an estimated 30% residing in the country.
“Bespoke safaris” were another focus, ensuring a low ratio of tourists to wildlife vehicles for an uninterrupted viewing experience. Environmental conservation remains a top priority for Zambia, contributing to the country’s thriving wildlife populations.
Beyond the natural wonders, Mazoka also presented Zambia’s rich cultural heritage, the source of the Zambezi River, and adventure activities as additional draws for tourists. Simplifying travel, Zambia offers a visa-free entry policy for British passport holders and citizens of many other countries.
High Commissioner Mazoka concluded by inviting the travel writers to collaborate with Zambia to raise awareness of the country’s tourism potential in the UK and other international markets. “We invite you to join us on a journey that transcends borders, connects hearts, and celebrates the rich tapestry of our country,” she said.
