Faith Ugochi, the founder of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, based in Port Harcourt, as well as Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen, a celebrity couple, have been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for allegedly recruiting teenage girls into drug trafficking.

According to the spokesperson for the anti-drug agency, Femi Babafemi, they are the leaders of an international syndicate operating from Los Angeles, USA.

The syndicate was uncovered when operatives of the agency at the NAHCO import shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, intercepted a consignment of 32.70 kilograms of Loud, a strong variant of cannabis concealed in used clothing cartons on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Five suspects were arrested, and preliminary investigations led to the discovery of a warehouse used to store illicit drugs inside Richmond Estate, Lekki. Edward Omatseye was arrested and confessed during interrogation to working for the celebrity couple, Igho and Danielle, who are the heads of the syndicate.

Favour and Shalom were recruited as sales girls by Prophetess Faith Ugochi of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, using her church platform to recruit teenage girls on behalf of the celebrity couple, while Nnochiri Chidinma Promise represents Ben Cargo Ltd, a freight company responsible for the shipment of illicit consignments into the country. Nnochiri Chidinma Promise and Edward Omatseye (aka Montana) have already been charged to court, and Ben Cargo Ltd has also been linked to two previous drug seizures and the current case.

Prophetess Faith Ugochi, Igho Ubiribo, and Danielle Simba Allen have failed to submit themselves for questioning despite several invitations. The agency has obtained a court order to seize all properties, including a fuel station linked to the suspects in Lagos and Port Harcourt, and has blocked the sum of Eighty Million Naira (N80,000,000) traced to a private account of one Victor Imagoro, where all proceeds from the sales of illicit drugs were deposited.

Abraham Alaigwu was arrested with 91.7kg of cannabis in Port Harcourt, and Ayodele Osuya, 35, was caught with 228kg of the same substance in a Toyota Camry car around Quarter Guard area of Akure, Ondo state. The agency has declared Faith Ugochi, Igho Ubiribo, and Danielle Simba Allen wanted as the arrowheads of the illicit trade.
