Femi Otedola, Chairman of Geregu Power, believes Nigeria’s power sector problems are surmountable with leadership and willpower, he said at Geregu’s first annual general meeting as a listed company.
Otedola noted that if power is well-organized, it is cheaper than diesel.
He suggested that efficient power supply would make diesel usage and generator maintenance unnecessary.
The businessman believes the real issue with the power sector is weak power transmission, and he called for the government to look for entrepreneurs committed to solving the problem.
Otedola is optimistic that Nigeria will eventually address its power problems.
