During an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), declared that Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition for the All Progressives Congress (APC) is insignificant to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Baba-Ahmed claimed that Buhari is finished with Nigeria and intends to “unmake Tinubu” despite his political achievements. Baba-Ahmed, who is the running mate to LP presidential candidate Peter Obi, highlighted that Tinubu helped Buhari secure millions of votes, but now Buhari wants to remove him from power.
Baba-Ahmed also stated that he has cleared all the obstacles for Obi in the north and that the former Anambra State governor is now popular with young people and other demographic groups in the region that traditionally wield significant influence during presidential elections.
He went on to say that the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are no longer relevant, and the only party that matters in Nigeria is the Labour Party.
