Salihu Lukman, the North-West Zonal Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has denied leaving his party to support the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
In a statement titled “Fallacious Politics of 2023” issued by his media handler, Lukman said that it was absurd to believe that he would support any candidate other than Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He also added that the so-called supporters of Obi were spreading falsehoods and promoting politics of hate against other candidates and their supporters.
Lukman also stated that he respects the choice of those who support Obi but also urged them to recognize the shortcomings of Obi as a politician and the Labour Party as a political party.
He emphasized that the only candidate that has never left his party is Tinubu, who is the only one presenting himself as a presidential candidate for the first time and has been a national political leader since 2007, and together with other leaders of the APC envisioned the political roadmap for the defeat of the PDP.
