On Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo made his competitive debut for his new team, Al Nassr, in their 1-0 victory over Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.
The 37-year-old Portuguese forward, who joined the club last month with a contract until 2025 and is earning reportedly over Β£177m per year, played the full game, leading the line and eventually Brazilian midfielder Talisca scored the winning goal.
The team is currently at the top of the Saudi league, a point ahead of second-place Al Hilal.
Ronaldo, who has previously played for Manchester United, Juventus, and Real Madrid, was greeted by cheers and banners from his fans at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.
This comes after he scored twice in an exhibition match against Lionel Messiβs Paris St-Germain in Riyadh All-Star XIβs 5-4 defeat on Thursday.
