Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, two of the greatest soccer players of all time, shared the field together in a thrilling exhibition match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated a Riyadh All-Star XI 5-4.
Both players scored, with Messi opening the scoring and Ronaldo netting twice to make it 2-2 at half-time.
Both players were substituted off just after the hour mark. PSG played much of the game with 10 men after Juan Bernat received a red card and Neymar missed a penalty in the first half.
Kylian Mbappe and substitute Hugo Ekitike scored for PSG, and Anderson Talisca scored a late goal for the All-Star XI, but there was not enough time for a dramatic equalizer.
This may have been the final time that Ronaldo and Messi, who have been rivals for many years, played against each other.
