Speaking at the conference themed “Regional Solutions to Transnational Problems,” President Hichilema underscored its relevance in addressing global challenges. As Zambia currently chairs the Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the timing of the conference aligns with the nation’s commitment to regional stability.

The President highlighted the importance of such gatherings in facilitating the exchange of best practices, technologies, and intelligence among regional blocs. Recognizing the diverse security challenges faced by participating nations, President Hichilema emphasized the significance of collective learning to foster global peace.
