GEORGETOWN, Guyana – Guyana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Hilton Todd, recently met with Argentina’s outgoing Ambassador, Dr. Felipe Alejandro Gardella, for a farewell courtesy call.
Minister Todd expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Gardella’s service and highlighted his contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Guyana and Argentina. The discussion underscored the positive strides made during the Ambassador’s tenure.
Ambassador Gardella, in turn, commended Guyana’s leadership on the regional and international stage. He also expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Guyanese government throughout his ambassadorship.
Guyana and Argentina established diplomatic relations on October 6, 1972. The details of the outgoing Ambassador’s replacement were not disclosed.
