Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar, hosted the annual conference of the Association of Foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria (AFRPN) on March 26th, 2024. The AFRPN brings together retired and serving diplomats, along with others involved in shaping Nigeria’s foreign policy.
The conference’s highlight was a lecture delivered by the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, H.E. Hajiya Amina J. Mohammed. Titled “Unconstitutional Change of Government and attainment of AU63 Agenda and UN SDGs – The case of West Africa and the Sahel Sub-region,” the lecture focused on the critical link between stable governance and achieving regional goals set by the African Union (AU Agenda 2063) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
