Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: Bridging the gap between military might and diplomatic finesse, senior leaders and trainees from the FDRE Defense War College visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. This educational excursion, attended by top College officials including Brigadier General Bulti Tadese, offered a nuanced perspective on Ethiopia’s foreign policy and its intricate interplay with regional security.
Ambassador Eshete Tilahun, Chief of Staff for the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, set the tone by welcoming the visitors. He emphasized the symbiotic relationship between diplomacy and the military, declaring them “two sides of the same coin” in protecting national interests.
Brigadier General Bulti, reciprocating the warm reception, expressed gratitude for the “fruitful educational visit” and commended the Ministry’s hospitality.
The day unfolded as a rich tapestry of insights and discussions. Senior Ministry staff delved into Ethiopia’s foreign policy priorities, highlighting the nation’s commitment to peace and stability in neighboring countries and the Horn of Africa region. Multilateral diplomatic relations were explored, with Ethiopia’s peacekeeping mission taking center stage.
