The Dubai Police General Headquarters (DPGHQ) has won two awards from the American Human Resources Organization (AHRO) for its innovative human resources management practices. The DPGHQ won the “Best Entity in Implementing Technology in the Field of Human Resources” award for its establishment of the Human Resources Data Analysis Center, and second place in the “Best Entity in Implementing Quality of Life and Health” category.
The Human Resources Data Analysis Center is a state-of-the-art facility that uses artificial intelligence and big data to analyze human resource data and trends. This information is then used to inform decision-making and improve the overall management of human resources at the DPGHQ.
The DPGHQ’s commitment to the quality of life and health of its employees is evident in a number of initiatives, such as its Employee Assistance Program, which provides confidential counseling and support to employees and their families. The DPGHQ also offers a variety of wellness programs, including fitness classes, health screenings, and nutrition counseling.
The two awards were presented during the Society for Human Resources Management’s (SHRM) annual conference, “SHRM Mena,” which was held in Dubai. The conference attracted more than 50 speakers, 1,600 experts from human resources and technology leaders, as well as more than 150 executives from 50 nationalities.
Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, praised the efforts of the General Department of Human Resources in winning the two awards. He said that the awards reflect the DPGHQ’s commitment to applying the best international practices in human resources management and to achieving leadership and excellence in police work in Dubai.
Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Director of the General Department of Human Resources, confirmed that the two awards reflect the DPGHQ’s constant keenness to implement the best international practices in the field of human resources management and to launch qualitative initiatives aimed at contributing to the excellence of the force locally and internationally.
