Nairobi, Kenya – The Danish Business Network in Kenya (DBN) held an event on October 5, 2023, to introduce the newly appointed Danish Ambassador to Kenya, Stephan Schønemann.
Ambassador Schønemann shared his thoughts on his new role and Denmark’s engagements in Kenya. He also spoke about the evolution of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ strategies related to private sector development and export promotion.
The event also provided an opportunity for DBN members to interact with the new Danish Head of Trade, Christian Staffeldt, and the Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) team, which covers the sectors of energy, circular economy, food and agriculture, and water.
The SSC team highlighted the invaluable resources and support available to Danish companies, emphasizing the synergy between the Trade Council and the SSC.
The event concluded with a networking session, offering members the chance to interact and exchange ideas.
The DBN serves as a platform for Danish-affiliated organizations and individuals in Kenya, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experience, and expertise.
