Vienna, Austria – Austria’s Ambassadors Conference ended on Friday, a week-long event that brought together the heads of Austrian embassies and permanent representations from around the world.
In his closing remarks, Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg thanked the diplomats for their work and praised their contribution to Austria’s foreign policy.

“Our ambassadors are Austria’s eyes and ears in the world. They open doors for the domestic export economy, represent Austria’s interests abroad, and thus make an important contribution to securing our prosperity and Austrian jobs,” Schallenberg said.
The conference also featured a video address by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who thanked Austria for its continued support in the face of Russian aggression.

“Austria has been a reliable partner to Ukraine since the very beginning of the war. We are grateful for your political, humanitarian and financial support,” Kuleba said.
Another central topic of the conference was “Tech Diplomacy,” as new technologies are becoming increasingly important in diplomacy. A panel discussion on this topic explored the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies, such as cybercrime and artificial intelligence.
