ST. PETERSBURG – Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed concerns over potential military clashes with the US, stating that while Russia is prepared for any scenario, it does not seek direct confrontation.
Putin emphasized that both sides have established a special mechanism to prevent conflicts and promote communication between their respective departments.
The Russian side reported 23 dangerous approaches by the US-led coalition’s aviation to Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft in Syrian airspace this year, along with 340 drone violations.
On July 27, pro-US anti-terror coalition fighter jets breached Syrian airspace eight times.
