The festivities, held at the heart of New York State, were organized under the invitation of the newly appointed Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Lesotho to the United Nations, His Excellency Mr. Matete ‘Nena.

The event featured mesmerizing ululations, spirited mokhibo dances, and soulful praise songs dedicated to the revered monarch. Adding to the aura of reverence, various Basotho artists presented their artistry through portraits depicting His Majesty.

In his inspiring keynote address to the Basotho Diaspora, Ambassador ‘Nena eloquently narrated the biography of King Letsie III, underscoring the significance of the monarchy in Lesotho.
