Zambian Delegation Joins UN Sustainable Development Forum

Ms. Lois Mulube, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, along with Dr. Chola Milambo, the Permanent Representative of Zambia to the United Nations, and Ms. Mwila Daka, Acting Director of the Development Planning Department at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, were present at the opening segment of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) at the United Nations Headquarters on July 10, 2023.

The High-Level Political Forum, held under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, commenced today and will continue until July 20, 2023. The forum includes a three-day ministerial segment scheduled from July 17 to July 19, 2023.

The theme of this year’s forum is “Accelerating the recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels.” It highlights the pressing need to address the impacts of the pandemic and ensure the comprehensive execution of sustainable development goals.

Leading the Zambian delegation, Ms. Lois Mulube represents Zambia’s commitment to actively participate in discussions and contribute to the forum’s objectives.
