Zambian ministry of foreign affairs participates in Africa Public Service Day

23rd June, 2023 – The Zambian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation actively took part in the celebration of Africa Public Service Day, held under the theme “Transforming the Public Service for Service Excellence and Realisation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area.”

Preceding the commemoration, public service institutions across the country engaged in three days of exhibitions, showcasing their work and engaging with the public. The event provided an opportunity for fruitful interaction between the institutions and the citizens they serve.

The culmination of the activities was marked by a prestigious prize giving ceremony, where various awards were presented to recognize excellence in the public service sector. The awards included the Best Exhibitor, awarded to the institution that demonstrated exceptional exhibition quality and content. Additionally, recognition was given to the High Performing, Ethical and Responsive Public Institution, which showcased outstanding commitment to professionalism and accountability.

In line with the digital transformation era, the event also honored the Most E-Transformed and Innovative Institution, highlighting those who have embraced technology and innovation to enhance service delivery. The Most Cost-Effective, Timely, and Quality-Focused Procurement Entity was also acknowledged, applauding the institution that demonstrated exemplary procurement practices in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high-quality standards. Lastly, the Most Customer-Centric Institution was celebrated for prioritizing and delivering exceptional customer service.
