LUSAKA, June 19 – President Hakainde Hichilema of the Republic of Zambia announced significant appointments and highlight the importance of efficient governance and international diplomacy.
During a ceremony held at State House, President Hichilema administered the oath of office to Ms. Kusobile Kamwambi as the Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU), while Ms. Chipokota Mwanawasa assumed the position of Deputy Head. The President congratulated both individuals on their new roles within the PDU and emphasized the criticality of effectively executing the government’s policy priorities and initiatives.
The President encouraged Ms. Kamwambi and Ms. Mwanawasa to utilize their positions and newfound responsibilities to coordinate, monitor, and drive the implementation of key projects and programs. Their leadership within the PDU will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient delivery of government services and the realization of the administration’s development agenda.
In addition to the internal appointments, President Hichilema announced two key diplomatic postings. Ms. Judith Mariana Adeodata Mulenga was appointed as the Ambassador to the Republic of France, while Mr. George Muhali Imbuwa assumed the role of High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The President urged both ambassadors to actively promote Zambia’s vision of economic diplomacy and foster valuable networks in their respective host countries.
