They explored avenues to bolster the progress made by the government through the outlined priorities, with a particular focus on UN assistance for Somalia’s transition.
Prime Minister Barre also met with UN Special Representative Catriona Laing to discuss the critical topic of UN support in Somalia’s development journey. The meeting emphasized the importance of sustainable socio-economic growth, enhanced security measures, and political stability. Both leaders deliberated on ways to align the ongoing progress with the government’s outlined priorities.
Expressing gratitude, Prime Minister Barre commended the support provided by the UN family to the Somali people and institutions.
