BEIJING, May 24 – In a display of solidarity, Russia and China have vowed to join forces in countering the collective West’s attempts to maintain its global dominance. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin made the statement on Wednesday during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, emphasizing the significance of the longstanding bonds between the two countries in the face of growing turbulence on the international stage.

Highlighting the close ties of good-neighborliness, partnership, and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, Mishustin underlined their shared commitment to defending against the collective West’s endeavors to preserve global dominance. He further criticized the use of illegal sanctions by Western powers to impose their will on independent nations. “Our countries stand shoulder-to-shoulder fending off the collective West’s attempts to preserve global dominance and to take advantage of illegal sanctions in order to impose their will on independent countries,” Mishustin asserted.

The Russian Prime Minister expressed confidence in the joint efforts of Russia and China to offer a resolute response to these dangerous ambitions. He emphasized their commitment to creating favorable conditions for steady progress toward their common strategic goals. Mishustin’s remarks underscored the determination of both nations to counter Western influence and protect their own sovereignty.

During the meeting, Mishustin also commended the meaningful discussions held with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang. The two leaders acknowledged the progress made in trade and economic cooperation and stressed the need to explore new promising areas to elevate the Russian-Chinese relationship to new heights by 2030.

“Alongside strengthening trade and economic cooperation, we consider it essential to expand cultural and humanitarian ties,” stated Mishustin. He emphasized that these ties serve as the foundation of friendship and mutual affection between the Russian and Chinese peoples, which must be preserved and passed down to future generations.

The united front displayed by Russia and China sends a clear message that they are determined to challenge Western dominance and protect their shared interests. As the geopolitical landscape continues to evolve, this alliance between two global powers will undoubtedly shape the dynamics of international relations.
