Lilongwe, 12th May 2023 – Honourable Nancy Tembo, Member of Parliament and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi, warmly received representatives from the IYF Good News Corps Malawi during an audience on 12th May 2023. The IYF, an organization led by Pastor Kim from South Korea, is actively supporting a Korean youth volunteer program aimed at sharing valuable skills with Malawian youths. The discussions primarily focused on the upcoming activities that 11 IYF volunteers would offer in various fields such as basic computing, broadcasting, construction, tailoring and design, and mind-change education.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for Minister Nancy Tembo and the IYF Good News Corps representatives to discuss the implementation of the youth volunteer program in Malawi. The IYF volunteers, hailing from South Korea, are dedicated to sharing their expertise and knowledge with the local youth, with the aim of empowering them and fostering positive change within the community.

During the discussions, both parties expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming activities that the IYF volunteers would undertake in Malawi. The program will encompass various vital areas, including basic computing, where Malawian youth will receive training on essential computer skills, enabling them to navigate the digital landscape with confidence.

Furthermore, broadcasting skills will be imparted to aspiring Malawian youths, offering them a platform to develop their talents and contribute to the media industry. The construction sector will also benefit from the volunteer program, as the IYF volunteers will provide hands-on training to enhance skills in construction practices and techniques.
