MBABANE, 13th May, 2023 – Dr. Adnan Hamad Al Hammadi, a member of the Federal National Council (FNC), held a meeting with Emmanuel Sinzohagera, the Speaker of the Burundian Senate. The meeting took place during the FNC’s Parliamentary Division’s participation in the 10th consultative meeting of the Association of Senates, Shura, and Equivalent Councils of Africa and the Arab World (ASSECAA) in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Burundi across various domains. Al Hammadi and Sinzohagera explored avenues to expand cooperation and develop stronger ties between the two countries. They also deliberated on the activation of parliamentary collaboration to support shared interests in regional and international parliamentary events.
Highlighting the economic and investment opportunities available in the UAE, Al Hammadi emphasized the importance of leveraging these resources. He underlined the UAE’s strategic relations and its position as a global trade hub.
Sinzohagera echoed the significance of fostering relations between the Burundian Senate and the FNC. He emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise, facilitating parliamentary visits, and developing ties across all fields.
